Pumpkin hunt

It is with regret, that due to staff shortages and difficulties with supply; we don’t have the manpower to run the event successfully.
Therefore, we won’t be holding the pumpkin hunt this year.
However, we do hope that all events will be back up and running next year, please keep an eye on our website for updates.

Visiting Time

We would advise that you allow your group at least 2 – 3 hours for your visit to Castle Ashby Gardens. However, why not also include a trip to the Rural Shopping Yard within the village of Castle Ashby where a variety of local crafts together with a delicatessen offering delicious treats to take home can be found.

Garden Admission

Tickets are available online only, you will need to a ticket to visit the Gardens.
Only the above mentioned tickets are accepted at our venue.
You will receive an email  order confirmation of your purchase. You can gain access to the gardens by showing a mobile screen image of this email.
The PayPal confirmation we also accept as proof of purchase.
Garden Admission ticket includes Free Parking on site.

Bad Weather Closure:-

We will notify you on the Homepage (only) of any Garden Closure.

What’s Open

The Gardens, Menagerie, toilets and play area are open. Our Tea room is open for outside dining.

Picnics

Picnics are welcome anywhere within the Gardens, we just ask that the tables at the Tea room area are reserved for Tea room visitors.Dogs

Dogs are permitted into the gardens providing that they are walked on a lead in all areas of the formal gardens. They may run free in the Arboretum.

Guide dogs are very welcome in our tea room.

Group Bookings

Groups of over 20 people receive 20% discount off the adult price. Please email us for further details.

Mobility Impaired Visitors

All areas of our site are accessible by wheel chair.
Your accompanying Carer does not need to buy a ticket.
We do have Mobility impaired toilets and extra wheel chairs if needed.
Please note that our paths are made from compacted shingle, which some wheelchair users may find a little difficult.
We hope you will choose to visit us.

Professional Photographs

We have put a stop to commercial or Professional Photographs in the Gardens.
We hope to offer these again in 2022.

Bus Stop

Please note that the nearest bus stop is approximately a 2 mile walk.

Season Ticket Holders

Winter Season:- There is no need to book before visiting the Gardens.
Summer Season:- You will need to book a “time slot” ahead of your visit please.
In Bookings:- Select “season Ticket” in the “ticket type” box, then process payment as usual (no monies will be taken). You will receive confirmation by email of your selected time-slot. Show your “Valid Season ticket” on arrival to get access to the Gardens along with the screen image of the email Time-slot confirmation.

Please note we are not selling season tickets at the current time.

Corona Virus

To help our visitors safely visit our Gardens we have implemented an on-line ticket system with time-slots to control numbers. We have also introduced additional cleaning procedures and a one way system around the Gardens. Please remember to maintain a social distance from others and please don’t visit if you are experiencing any of the corona virus systems. Thank you.
