Fairy Doors – New Children’s Activity
We have added a new children’s activity around the Gardens, where children can spot the Fairy doors hidden in our Arboretum.
Tortoise Update – July 2018
Our giant Tortoise now has a new friend!
Meerkat Expansion 2018
Our Meerkat’s have had an upgrade to their enclosure, which now makes it even easier to see them, especially for smaller children.
Our Marmosets gave birth on 30th June 2017 to their second set of babies.
Pigs are back
We extended our Menagerie in 2016 to bring back the pigs and goats which have been requested by many. All have settled in well.
Our archive building opened summer 2015, and includes details of the history of Castle Ashby Gardens, old drawings made by Capability Brown and other interesting facts. Situated in one of the converted greenhouses under the Triumphal Arch.
New animals in the Menagerie 2015
We have been working hard to settle in some new animals in the menagerie.
The new marmoset monkeys are doing well, and looking forward to lots of visitors when we open the doors for summer on 28th March.
The Meerkats are also now in a fantastic new home, which includes new areas and tunnels to play and live in. This will also ensure they have plenty of room to keep growing their family.
