The Arboretum, which is Latin for ‘collection of trees’, dates back to the 1860s and is home to possibly the UK’s largest weeping beech. A selection of pines, spruces, and more common trees, such as yews and holly, are all surrounded by wildflowers. Weaving through the trees along the nature trail gives you a close-up of the wildlife and plant life which is uniquely encouraged and protected at the heart of the estate.
