Spring walk and the arboretum

Spring Walk

The long walk down to the archway that leads into the Aboretum, is known as Spring Walk.

During early Spring it is a mass of glorious daffodils, followed by the very rare Ornithogalum umbellatum (Star of Bethlehem) in April and May.

The Arboretum

The Arboretum (Latin for collection of trees) dates back to the 1860s and is home to possibly the UK’s largest Weeping Beech. In this magnificent area enjoy the stunning views of the lakes and parkland from the Terracotta Bridge.
